It has been many years since downtown St. Petersburg has hosted a major running event. Over those years, St. Pete is developing into a global destination with millions visiting annually to enjoy our weather, world class restaurants, craft beer and distillery options, live music and vibrant art galleries. The scenic flat and fast running course winds along our waterfront, through our unique neighborhoods, and intertwines with our bustling business districts and even runs through Tropicana Field the home of MLB’s Tampa Bay Rays.
VSPC is the ideal partner to make St. Pete Run Fest into a global destination event. We share the same vision for our wonderful community and are partnering to attract athletes across the globe to run and stay with us in November.
The partnership offers athletes unique amenities that sets St. Pete Run Fest apart from other road races. In particular, VSPC, Tervis and St. Pete Run Fest are teaming to offer 16 ounce St. Pete themed tumblers for each of the Half Marathon finishers. The tumbler plays into the events Ocean Friendly goals by eliminating single use plastics. VSPC supports sustainability knowing that preserving our beautiful waters is paramount and this is their way of helping the environment. Additionally, VSPC is providing eco-totes to all half marathon in hopes that athletes will use every day reducing the use of plastic bags.
