Duke Energy St Pete Run Fest 5K

Known as the “Sunshine City”, St. Pete holds the Guinness record for most consecutive sunny days – 768 to be exact. Join in the Run Fest weekend on Saturday with a 3.1 mile run/walk along St. Pete’s beautiful waterfront, including the spectacular St Pete Pier.  Set a PR on this flat and fast course, or run/walk just for fun with your family and friends in the St Pete Run Fest 5K!

The Course

Your run starts on Bayshore Drive next to the world-renowned Salvador Dali Museum, overlooking the waters of Tampa Bay. From there head into downtown and beautiful Central Ave, then along the scenic waterfront, and around the spectacular St Pete Pier. Then head back for a photo finish on Bayshore Drive next to the Mahaffey Theater plaza.

There is one Hydration Station on the course, featuring Gatorade and Culligan water.  There is also a Hydration Station at the start/finish area.

What do I get?

Each runner will receive a designer bib with B-tag timing chip at packet pick-up and a comfortable T-Shirt good for running or heading out on the town, a Tumbler, a cooling towel and a St Pete inspired finisher medal.  Post-race festivities includes a “Taste of Tampa Bay” and local craft beer from Green Bench Brewing Co., vodka+soda from 3 Daughters Brewing , light beer from Corona Premier , Celsius energy drink, small batch kombucha from Mother Kombucha, Liquid Death canned mountain water and The Back 2 Normal Recovery Zone including massage, stretching and the latest in recovery technologies.    Plus, enjoy the best in Tampa Bay musical entertainment!

Registration Fee

Early Registration     January – February   $40

Registration     Mar 1 – June 30   $45

Summer Registration     July 1 – August 31   $50

Fall Registration     September 1 –  October 15    $55

Late Registration     October 16 – November 15th     $60

**No race-morning registration.

If not sold out, on-site registration at Friday packet pick-up will be $65.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a service fee charged by Race Roster for online registration.  There is no mail-in option, but you can register with cash/check at our expo booth at various events. Due to the fact that there are many services and supplies which we have to order/pay for ahead of time, there are NO REFUNDS of entry fees or service fees, no exceptions. However, you may DEFER your entry by October 30, 2025, and receive a deferral code, worth 75% of your entry fee, for use towards the 2026 St. Pete Run Fest, by emailing claire@stpeterunfest.org. The deferral code will be emailed to you when 2026 registration opens, and it expires by the 2026 event, so make sure you re-register for 2026 using your deferral code.  You can also TRANSFER your entry to someone else, via Race Roster, by October 31, 2025.  Please note there is a $15 transfer fee.

We are proud to partner with the St. Pete Free Clinic to raise funds for their Food Bank and Health/Dental Clinic. When you participate in the St Pete Run Fest, we will make a donation to the St Pete Free Clinic.  You can also make an additional donation online when you register for any St Pete Run Fest event.

Race Details

DATE: Saturday, November 15th

LOCATION: Albert Whitted Park, 480 Bayshore Dr SE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

START TIME:  8:45am

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: 8 years old on race day

TIME LIMIT:  1 hour  

PARTICIPANT LIMIT:  3,000 runners

HYDRATION ON COURSE: There is one HYDRATION STATION along the course, providing Culligan water and Gatorade. 

HEADPHONES:  You can wear headphones on the course, but please keep the sound at a level where you can hear instructions from course marshals, volunteers, and staff.

STROLLERS:  Strollers are allowed on the 5K course.  

PETS:  We love dogs, and they make great training partners, but for their safety and yours, please leave your pet at home on race day.
