Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run: Celebrating the 250th American Anniversary
St. Petersburg, FL – In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, the Good Sweat Foundation is proud to present the 5th annual Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital Pier Run on July 4th. As the organization behind St Pete Run Fest—the “Best of the Bay” winner for both 2024 and 2025—the Foundation continues its tradition of excellence with this upcoming holiday celebration.
Scheduled for July 4th, the event features a 4-mile run/walk with staggered start times at 6:15 am and 7:45 am. Participation is nearing its 3,200-person capacity. Registered athletes will receive commemorative July 4th Pier Run medals, Orlando Health beach towels, and reusable bags.
The Orlando Health Pier Run highlights regional talent and flavors, including live entertainment by Street Chicken and food from Colony Grill and Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grille. Attendees can enjoy ice cream cookies from Cookie Disco and refreshments from Celsius and LMNT at the post-race celebration. Local brews will be provided by Green Bench Brewing Company and 3 Daughters Brewing.
Celebratory festivities will include red, white, and blue popsicles and a pie-eating competition presented by Gateway Subs. For post-race recovery, participants can access Back2Normal and Iceburg Cold Plunge, while those celebrating new personal records are invited to the T Fiber PR Party.
St Pete Running Company will offer the newest running apparel and Official Pier Run merchandise on-site.
The 4-mile course features two water stations and over 15 experiences, such as the Dalmoros “Eat Pasta, Run Fasta” carb station, Sunshine City Roller Derby spray zone and multiple DJ and musical acts with the Start/Finish near Spa Beach. .
Participants have two ways to support our charity partner, the St Pete Youth Farm. You can make a donation during race registration or donate directly at the St Pete Youth Farm website. The St Pete Youth Farm is a youth-led urban farm that not only provides access to local produce but also teaches essential life skills. This year, the farm’s major goal is to fund a Food Truck, bringing their “Farm to Fest” vision to life!
The event is “Ocean Friendly,” prohibiting single-use plastics and Styrofoam and utilizing an on-site Green Team including Renuable for waste sorting. Each participant receives a can of Liquid Death at the finish line, eliminating the need for plastic water bottles.
